Hi group,
this is my first post so I hope you would be patient with me.
Here is the problem:
I scan a lot of invoices that must be uploaded to a dbase, the name of
the single pdf file is obviously something completely unusefull to
recognize the content, so I must rename every file to something
better.
This means :open the file, read it, close it, rename it and then link
the saved file from the administrative program.
I'm serarching something that could open a readable preview of the
file and that let me change its name to something that can be
recognized and ordered in a standard "open file" window, this is the
minimal.
Something better should be a program that let me see the preview and
could give me some standard instruments to compose the new name of the
file, something like a list of the suppliers in which I'll chose the
name eventually substituting its name with its code in the saving
name, something to ad the number of the invoice and eventually the
date.
The idea is that a little program, later, will capture the saved file
to the dbase looking for them trough the saved name.
The best solution should be obviously that all this work could be done
with an OCR sistem, but I'm not so demanding and I understand that
there is no way to obtain something so sophisticated to resolve a
problem of this kind.
Advanced thanks for any help.
Ciao
Bruno
