Hi all,
has someone already adapted xpdf to Visual C++6? Can he/she give me
some advice to begin with? Many thanks in advance!

Which part of xpdf? The viewer or the tools?

It would be great if I could adapt the viewer into VC++. But as a
first experiment, maybe it's easier to begin with the tools, for
example pdfimage or pdftext. Many thanks!

You can't, without X11, which you won't have and probably don't want.
See http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/about.html. If you aren't sure what is
meant by "X11" see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X11 .

To oversimply greatly: the view is mainly for Unix and Linux systems.

The foolabs page suggests that the tools are quite possible. But
unless you want to experiment, why not just download the binaries?

Not sure what you mean by "adapt xpdf to Visual C++", but if you mean
just using it with VC, then it is possible - at least for the text
tools. I did some work with xpdf and VC++ 6 a while ago. Worked fine.
