gegl - almost there in "LightHouse" distro

Having loosely followed the development of gegl for almost a year, I was surprised to see a "first" working version of this included with Gimp-2.6.6... I note here, this is on a live-CD distro I downloaded for testing... "LightHouse Pup"... another suprisingly full featured live- CD from the "puppy" series. GEGL currently includes 20(?) or so useful programs... and, while some of these are repeats or alternatives to already existing plug-ins, GEGL seems to be a platform for introducing "cutting edge" gimp functions. Unfortunately, I couldnt get the [tone mapping] function to work in this version of GEGL, but it does have [color temperature]... great to have that included now... and numerous other useful and interesting plug-ins. If youd like to see GEGL in action, without having to install another distribution, download and burn a copy of the "LightHouse Pup" (small) live-CD.

(that was terribly ragged_ here is my edited version :-)

For what its worth_ and, to me, it was more
than an interesting development_ the more complete
name of this live-CD was: LightHouse Pup 4.43-d,
the newest in that series, if earlier may not have
included as complete a version of GEGL.
In fairness, I should again establish that
this instance of GEGL - while including a sizeable
set of operations, is by no means finished or
totally functioning yet... is as interesting in
its concept of a collection of cutting edge
functions packaged together under one menu heading.
