Hello, is there such a tool for gimp (win 2.6.8), which gives the possibility to straighten (usually scaned) images to a (virtual) horizontal or vertical line. In "Paint Shop Pro 9" this tool was named "Straighten-Tool" e.g. To correct slightly rotated scaned images. If I use the rotate tool, I have to test/undo many steps until the image is straightend. A screenshot of the essentials here. http://www.imageno.com/af0kqdqaacu6pic.html And a chance to plug the "under-new-management" GUG (gimp user group) where there was recently a similar question see: http://gug.criticalhit.dk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=36 -- rich

Auto Rotate see: http://registry.gimp.org/node/22910 The image on the site says it all. Make the line with the paths tool. Use the Autorotate menu item that the script adds to the layers menu. -- rich
