Seems to be down at the moment, It was ok yesterday morning and slow last 
night. If its downloads there are mirrors for linux and the windows 
section http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ is still working.

while you are waiting, there are lots of tutorials, a search will turn up 
lots of references. Some unfortunately some are quite old, but still 
worth a look.

Yeah, a few hours later still the same. Any ideas what's going on? ISP
problem, site under DDOS attack? I'm thinking, since they only update
the site every so often, maybe the admins don't even know yet...
