Gimp 2.6.1 packaged for mepis 8, beta3

32 & 64bit 2.6.1 package compiled and working, have a look in 
mepislovers.com for the distro specific download...

Yeah

I just tried to install  Gimp 2.6.1 on my Linux machine  (PCLinuxOS)
and it would not run due to a GTK error.

I updated all packages on my machine that were upgradable
and still had the same problem...So I will have to try an older version of 
Gimp.

BTW: Gimp 2.6.2runs fine on my Win2k machine

Well fwiw,
I rolled my PC linux 2008 (mini) back to PClos 2007
and got the older version of Gimp up and running.

But I really like Gimp 2.6.1  it's really a great application!

Yeah

I just tried to install  Gimp 2.6.1 on my Linux machine  (PCLinuxOS)
and it would not run due to a GTK error.

I updated all packages on my machine that were upgradable
and still had the same problem...So I will have to try an older version of 
Gimp.

BTW: Gimp 2.6.2runs fine on my Win2k machine

Well fwiw,
