Adapt colours - how to ?

Hi, I have an image http://jarausch.ja.funpic.de/Kuchen.jpeg where the left part of the cake is shadowed. (I've used a flash light which was partially obscured by a wide angle adaptor) How can I adapt the colours in the left part to those in the right part. I've tried the dodge tool and a contrast mask. Both didn't give satisfactory results. Many thanks for hint, Helmut.

Hello Helmut, > I have an image > http://jarausch.ja.funpic.de/Kuchen.jpeg > > where the left part of the cake is shadowed. > (I've used a flash light which was partially obscured by a wide angle > adaptor) > > How can I adapt the colours in the left part to those in the right part. I sent you *.xcf file a minute ago (hope your email address works). Mainly, I used two monochrome layers with yellowish colors that I picked from the right side of the cake. Then, I used a layer mask in screen overlay mode and a fuzzy brush to paint in it. The left and right side colors fit quite good now, but you have to fine tune certainly. HTH, Frank
